FLY TYING CLASS 2012
Ladies and Gentlemen: Once again, it’s time for me to bugger you about our upcoming fly tying class. Like last year, I want to have a little fun in hopes that it elicits a strike for you to sign up. The rules are simple: find fifteen (15) references relating to fly fishing (other than in the general context of the class), and at the next club meeting you may win a big prize (OK, so it’s not a new boat or a million bucktails). Our lie has changed this year and the class will be held in the Rosehill Community Center, located at 304 Lincoln Avenue in Mukilteo. I’m sure the new venue will be irresistible, as it is closer for most and you won’t have to wulff down your dinner on your way to class. The Rosehill staff will be conducting all registration, and you can begin signing up on December 19 th. It is very important that you wade in early, since this class will be open to the community (it will appear in the Rosehill events catalog) and will fill up fast.Don’t be a renegade or drag your feet. You can register by calling Rosehill at (425) 263-8180 or check out their website when it comes up (at this writing, I couldn’t find it with my browser). Another thing I must mend-tion is that the cost has increased to $40 per member and $60 for non-members. But even with that slight increase, you don’t have to be a prince or a general practitioner to be able afford it. Below is the cast of characters and the flies they will be teaching. Other than one of them requiring super glue, there are no other special needs. Just be sure you have an assortment of different color thread and the usual tools (vise, scissors, hair stacker, whip-finish tool, etc.). As usual, each class will start at 7 PM, though many usually drift in around 6:30. Don’t muddler in there, or you may not find a seat. Hope to see you there! Les Bouck & Carlos Ditto
